About My Web Development Work

I’m a freelance web developer, currently living in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) who’s been working professionally as a developer since 2000. I’ve been a full-time freelancer since 2008 and I’m still passionate about my work.

I take pride in offering quality work at a fair price. Each project deserves to be completed with integrity and expertise regardless of budget or size.

I honed my development chops while living and working in St. Kitts and Nevis, as well as the British Virgin Islands. Those islands are really good teachers!

For five years I worked for the Government of Canada. I left to dedicate myself to freelancing. Here I am.

Where’s Your Portfolio?

Much of my work is sub-contracted to me by web designers and design agencies. Subsequently, I don’t have a large collection of portfolio items that I can display on my own site.

However, if you contact me, I can give you a list of references (repeat clients) who will stand by my work.

If you’re so inclined, you can visit my LinkedIn profile for more detail about my work experience.

Here’s a short list of some of the organizations who I’ve worked with:

Some Other Stuff

I Create Music and Write Songs

I’m a guitarist, singer/songwriter, music producer who’s in the process of recording original material in my home-based studio. With any luck, this will turn into my first proper collection of publicly available songs. Please stay tuned: like good food, good songs take time.

I’ve been a member of The Taumcats, Sister Roger Moonshine and the Pierre Legault Band.

As a solo artist, I’ve performed and recorded under several pen names: Pissenlit, The Chinaskis (named so before the better known ones) and Nick Lickson being but a small sampling of them. Sometimes I even go by Ken Chase.

Venues played include: Barrymores Music Hall, The Manx, Lieutenant Poolies, The Blues Cafe, The Upstairs Club, The Oaulie Beach Resort and a little church in Newcastle on the beautiful island Nevis.

There’s a Podcast Too!

I produce and host the Purple Grief Podcast. A podcast mostly about the Minnesota Vikings.
